OUR BACKYARD FARMS
Learn to grow food with record breaking flavor and nutrient content
New site coming soon!
It's a simple formula:
SOIL LIFE = NUTRIENTS = FLAVOR = HEALTH
The more life in your soil and garden, the more nutrient rich your plants will be, the more flavor they will have, leading to multiple health benefits for you and your family
For me, growing food is natural!
I grew veggies as a child and, 50 years later I'm still doing it! I've tried every possible way and can say without a doubt that the easiest and best way to grow food is by using natural ecological processes.
I've introduced hundreds of people to ecological food growing techniques through face-to-face workshops, from beginners to experts. It's time now to share my knowledge and refined techniques with more people.
The buzz you get from growing and eating food from a thriving ecosystem is addictive! And the smell and taste of the food is incomparable. It's stunning.
Stick around, I'll show you how.

Online courses
Take a self-guided journey into the why and how of ecological food growing.
Steve, thank you so very much for the incredibly interesting and helpful information you shared throughout the course. It was so interesting to connect the dots between some other areas of interest I’d had around general health and the importance of good gut microbiome and the way that plants themselves contain microbes. Having a greater appreciation now for traditional vs organic food production and the way it impacts plant nutrients was really good to understand.
Workshop participant
I did indeed attend the workshop and was utterly entranced by it. I have never known the concept of organic gardening and the way Steve took us through it and gave us so much information was inspirational. I have told many people already and certainly put it straight into practice in my own garden, I have never had any confidence with growing things and am a self-described 'plant murderer' not any more though.
